Brave the Atlantic for Special Olympics New Jersey
Kick off the season of giving with a run along the boardwalk and, if you’re feeling brave, a dip in the Atlantic at Thanks4Giving: Turkey Dash & Splash. Held Saturday, November 14, 2026, this annual Asbury Park tradition raises funds for Special Olympics New Jersey and its year-round programs for athletes across the state.
The day begins with the Turkey Dash, a timed 5K that starts and finishes in Asbury Park and follows the boardwalk through Ocean Grove and Bradley Beach. At 1PM, things get a little colder as participants take on the Turkey Splash, plunging into the November ocean just north of Convention Hall. Stick around afterward for the Thanks4Giving Bash beginning at 1:30PM.
Whether you're running, splashing or cheering from the sidelines, Thanks4Giving is a fun way to enjoy fall at the Jersey Shore while supporting Special Olympics New Jersey. The action takes place along the Asbury Park waterfront, just a short walk from the Berkeley Oceanfront Hotel.
